In March, the Federal Trade Commission started a new technology blog and Twitter account for FTC Chief Technologist Ed Felten. Recently, he wrote about the theory of Privacy by Design (engineering privacy protections into a system from the beginning, rather than changing the system later to fix privacy problems) and frequency capping in online advertising.
